  • STEP Expo STEP Expo

October 1, 2019

The Second-year Transformational Experience Program or STEP, will be hosting the Dr. Javaune Adams-Gaston STEP Expo held in the Archie M. Griffin Grand Ballroom in the Ohio Union on Wednesday, November 20th, 2019.  Students will be presenting in one of six sessions: 10:30 AM, 12:00 PM, 1:30 PM, 3:00 PM, 4:30 PM, and 6:00 PM.

Faculty, staff, and students are invited to attend and see the transformational experiences our STEP students are engaging in through Artistic and Creative Endeavors; Service-Learning and Community Service; Education Abroad; Leadership; Internships; and/or Undergraduate Research. Eligible STEP students submit a proposal for up to $2,000 to participate in one of these experiences in order to enhance their undergraduate experience and help prepare them for the future.

The STEP Expo booklet including all of the student presenters can be found here.

STEP Expo Reviewer:

We’d also like to invite you to consider volunteering to serve as a STEP Expo Reviewer.  As a reviewer, you would be assigned to interact with identified students using some guiding prompts focused around how the Signature Project has been transformational.

If you’re interested in volunteering, you can submit your availability here and our STEP team will follow-up with additional details.  If you’re unable to formally volunteer, we invite you to drop in whenever it’s most convenient for your schedule to interact informally with our student presenters.

Please feel free to forward this opportunity to others in your units/departments who may have an interest in attending the event or serving as a reviewer.  You can contact Beth Fines ( directly with any questions about serving as a reviewer.
