STEP Participant Featured as Student Speaker at Lima Campus Dean’s Convocation

STEP participant Lily Carmer, a junior Early Childhood Education major on Ohio State’s Lima Campus, was the student speaker at the Lima Campus Dean’s Convocation on August 21st, 2023. In her remarks to incoming first-year students, Lily spoke about the importance of saying “yes” to new opportunities at Ohio State. Among the many experiences she said yes to on the Lima campus was STEP. Lily shared her experiences as a second-year STEP student, including her plan to utilize the STEP Fellowship to attend a conference in March 2024 where she will explore Montessori educational practices. She explained that this transformational learning opportunity was only made possible through her participation in STEP.
