Dr. Chris Zirkle is the STEP Faculty Fellow. He does most of the recruiting of STEP mentors and provides faculty input to both the Columbus and regional STEP teams on all things “STEP”. He also serves as a STEP mentor. He is an associate professor in the College of Education and Human Ecology in the Workforce Development and Education program area, where he oversees three teacher licensure programs. He serves on the university Athletic Council and is active on several other university committees. In 2021, he received a Fulbright Scholar award and taught for a semester at Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences in Helsinki, Finland.
