Hillary Carter

Hillary Carter (she/her/hers) is the STEP Senior Program Coordinator. She works closely with STEP partners on Ohio State’s regional campuses and Agricultural Technical Institute (ATI) on program development, operations, and implementation. In addition, she provides leadership to STEP Student Ambassadors and student employees, while also supporting the daily operations of the program.

Prior to joining the STEP team, Hillary served at Ohio State as a behavior support specialist with the Nisonger Center, and most recently as an academic advisor in University Exploration.

She completed her bachelor’s degree in Psychobiology at Earlham College and earned her master’s and education specialist degrees in Counseling and Counselor Education with a focus on Community Mental Health from Indiana University Bloomington. Hillary is also a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Ohio.

Outside of work, Hillary enjoys spending time and being active with her family, attending sporting and cultural events, reading, and traveling.
