What was the most memorable part of your STEP Experience?
The incredible relationships I built within my Buck-I-SERV team and with the Guatemalan locals. The group was incredible and made serving that much more fun.
What do you enjoy most about serving as a STEP Student Ambassador?
I enjoy being able to share my STEP story with other people in hopes that they can pursue something they are passionate about. STEP provides an opportunity for students to grow in their own unique way, and I'm glad I can contribute towards that effort!
What advice would you give to students who are considering joining STEP?
My encouragement is to join STEP because of the endless opportunities associated with the program; you build relationships, develop a network, strengthen personal, professional, and academic skills, and can explore the world and your own interests with financial assistance. If you're looking to grow, meet new people, and make your curiosities a reality, then STEP is for you!
Fun Fact!
In addition to traveling to Guatemala with Buck-I-SERV this past summer, I also traveled to Burundi, Africa! The world and all its cultures are so incredible!
